Hi Jon!
What you can do is to buy a Sony AIT-2, 4 tapes Autoloader.
AIT-2 is much faster and cheeper then DLT8000. And you don´t get all tape problems 
that DLT has.
And AIT-2 takes 50 GB / tape (1:1)
