You do not say is the reclamation performed on primary or copy pool, collocated or non-collocated, how many source volumes were mounted. For example reclamation of non-collocated copypool volume reading from collocated primary pool volumes may require a lot of mounts. And DLT7000 mount time is now so small.

We are running TSM 5.1.6.3 on nt 4.0 sp6a. I also have 35/70 dlt libraries. When I reclaim data and it goes from tape to tape some tapes are very slow. Example: A 98% reclaimable tape can take me 2 hours to reclaim where as the next tape which might be 92% reclaimable may take 30 minutes. Also I migrated 16gb of data from my onsite tapepool to my offsite tape pool. I was using one process. Should I look at my hardware or is there something wrong with some of the tapes. Any help on this would be appreciated. Eddie Jones 770-953-1959 ext.2824 "The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes." - Sir Winston Spencer Churchill ---***---
