After examining the trace I supplied, level 2 decided the problem was probably in the TCP layer but did not have enough info to make a definitive determination. If it happens again, they want a core dump (Aix command kill -11 ). So if anyone else encounters this problem of prompted mode schedules stopping, please take a core dump before restarting your tsm server.
