Hi Ruud,

to which storagepools do you move your data (disk, tape)?

Your FS backup gives you the network data transfer rate, whereas the
DB backup gives you a number including network data transfer rate,
tape mount/unmount times etc.

Do a QUERY NODE nodename F=D and you will see what the session is
waiting for
Pct. Idle Wait Last Session: 3.33
Pct. Comm. Wait Last Session: 0.00
Pct. Media Wait Last Session: 0.00

Kind regards

Betreff: fs backup versus database backup

Hi

FS backup:
 Network data transfer rate: 56,265.13 KB/sec i.e. 56Mb/sec
starttime 02:30 endtime 02:55
ANE4961I (Session: 4073, Node: RYSAP380) Total number of
                       bytes transferred: 396.77 MB

Database backup:
BKI1215I: Average transmission rate was 97.247 GB/h (27.661 MB/sec).
starttime 20:00 endtime 23:40
BR061I 471 files found for backup, total size 360069.555 MB

Both backups go over Gb links
Why FS backup faster than DB backup , i would expect the other way around ??
