Hi, I'm preparing to migrate our TSM Server v 5.1.5.0 on AIX 4.3.3 from a F30 to a F50(same OS) and just wanted to know if there are any pitfalls in doing so. The plan is:
(). copy all data from the diskpool to our drpool (). migrate all data from our main diskpool to our tapepool (). disable sessions (). copy all "missed" data from the tapepool to drpool (). perform a FULL db backup which is in Roll Forward Mode and note the tape volume (). tar the ...\server\ folder and untar it on the F50 "new" which already has TSM Server v5.1.5.0 on it. (). shutdown the F30 "old" (). dsmserv format to create the new db volumes and recovery log volumes (). run dsmserv restore db to get the lastest (). restart the "new" server and pray. Any experiences out there that I should be aware of ??? Hope to be quick enough to respond to the list and contribute in the near future...
