You have got one point.

Yes, I did the mistake of having ntuser.dat it excluded,
although I should have known better.
But I have had usrclass.dat included.

Maybe this inconsistency explains
why I see empty fonts list in winword know - but
I still can use any font if I type it´s name correctly in..
But it is OK - since it is windows I will have a look
into manuals that are installed along with the system
and with winword and I will figure out how fonts are bound
to applications and correct this manually ;=8)

thanks

Juraj

I would bet the restore went fine and *everything* backed up was restored.
The trap is "backed up" - have you backed up those NTUSER.DAT files!?!
That's the place those customizations reside. Look at the Wanda Prather's
post titled "Re: Is it ok to exclude ntuser.dat, and usrclass.dat ????"
from 12.02.2002.

hello all,

I performed recently BMR recovery of W2k prof.,
procedure taken from older redbook
"Deploying the tivoli storage manager client in a windows 2000
environment".

This procedure used to work for me well with older TSM clients,
but now following happend:

After restoring of System Object i was NOT offered an option to activate
registry keys.

Consequently, the restored system worked but was far from perfect (many
user
settings missing)

Is there any known change in later TSM clients regarding to restore of
System Objects
in latest TSM clients?

regards
