Thanks for the suggestion. However, we usually turn off VERBOSE after
initial backups since it can be impracticle. Some boxes (like mail
servers) have 4-8 million files. Even with a 30 day retention (which is
what we usually specify), this can be a very big file.
What I am/was looking for is "after the fact", i.e. a box is being killed
off and I am exporting it before removing/deleting/purging it from TSM and
what a list of what was backed up/archived.

If you run your backups through the TSM scheduler it is nice to have
VERBOS
logging to the dsmsched.log. If you keep it around you will see when the
file in question was backed up. Every file that backups up has an entry
in
the dsmsched.log when run VERBOSE. Also, when a file is deleted from a
system you can see what date and time because you will see when it gets
expired.

What is the easiest/best way/command to get a complete list of *ALL* files
in BACKUP/ARCHIVEs for a NODE ?
We want to generate this list so we can store it for later browsing, if
necessary.
The reason for this is that I am about to do an import for a node that was
exported and deleted, just because the user thinks there is a file in the
archives that they need. It would have been nice to simply browse a file
and say "nope, the file you want wasn't on that box and there isn't a
backup/archive for it".
