I recall the VM product being in similar straits in the mid-80s, with entrenched habits and procedures and attitudes creating perpetually troublesome software. Finally, IBM put a new product manager in place who had vision and initiative: he completely turned things around. That's what TSM needs. They still haven't learned that "same old" is no good.
