Yes, usually TSM node-compression gets better compression ratio that tape drive compression. In your case the numbers mean TSM client transmitted to server 5.29 GB while have read files totalling approx. 21.16 GB. I am curious why your client node spent nearly three hours to read those 21 GB. Sending data through LAN so fast assumes mighty server, isn't it?
