check the archive for 'cleanup backupgroup','system objects not expiring', it is a nown bug in 4.2.2.0 with deleting inactive system objects from the DB Table, fixed in 4.2.3 and 5.1.5.x.

We made a new TSM Server installation V 4.2.2.0 on Windows NT 4.0. Now we've got a big problem with our TSM database. At this time, we've got 914151 items in our Table backups. IBM says, that each item in the database has a size of 600 bytes. If I make a calculation I get the following result: 914151 * 600 bytes = ca. 523 MB Now the db has a size of 3 GB and is full! Has anyone an explanation for this? Is it a known Problem? Any help would be nice!
