Yes, there is a way to do this if you are a savvy programmer or you implement the SNMP/TEC interface. The programmers guide for the 3494 also shows how to write a lmcpd program interface to accept unsolicited conditions which could do lots of things. I have wanted for a long time to write this program but just have not had time.

When running a checkout libvol of more tapes than the i/o station holds on the tsm server running on aix, the checkout just waits until the station has been cleared.
