These new high density tapes have a culling rate of about 1 out of 100. So, this one may just be a bad one.

Also some tapes report 1 or 2 write errors. According to Exabyte the 8mm AME tape logevity is rated around 20,000 passes. Is there a report within Tivoli, that will help me determine the number of passes on a particular volume? ------------------------------- David Macisso IBM Certified Specialist - AIX System Administration Archdiocese of Boston Ph: 617-746-5617 Fx: 617-746-5938
