I have had something similar, if not identical. You
may not believe this but check the free disk space
on the client, it may be low and therefore can't create
virtual device.

We Have:
Client Machine:

* Windows 2000 - SP2
* SQL 2000 (v 8.00.194)
* TDP for SQL 2.2.0
* TSM Client 4.2
Server Machine:
---------------
* Windows 2000 - SP2
* TSM Server 4.2
About 2 days ago, the TDP for SQL dont working anymore.
Im try reinstalling the TDP but the error continue.
Any idea ???
