I am having a problem getting the DSMC INCREMENTAL backup to work on my NT 4 server.
I am able to run the GUI interface and perform a backup. However, the command line connects to server, then just seems to hang (in about 3 minutes the server disconnects the connection). It gets to the point where it displays the selected backup drive (ie: \DELL1400\D$) and thats it. The errorlog doesn't display any communication type errors (just the CTRL-C when I break the process). Configuration: Windows NT 4 server (SP 6) Approx. 6G of data to be backed up TSM 4.2 (Client) TSM 5.1 (Server) Communication is via a VPN via the Internet Thanks for any ideas..... todd mitchell wagner & brown, ltd.
