Hi, Is there anyone out there who can give me some information regarding restoring a TSM database.
I am going to implement another TSM instance at one of my sites in the near future and I will be sharing the library with the other instance. For information, the library is a 3584 with 12 LTO tape drives installed. On a daily basis, I will be restoring the new instance database from a backup tape taken earlier in the day. (In effect, I am using the second instance as a DR version for another site). I have heard that if you are sharing a library and you want to restore the TSM database you must stop TSM on the other instances before doing so. In effect, the TSM database restore needs exclusive use of the library. Our current TSM Server version is 4.2.1. Can anyone through some light on this ??? Thankyou in anticipation.
