If your copy pool volume is damaged, just do DELETE VOL xxxxxx
discarddata=yes.
That removes all the data base entries for the files on the copy pool
volume.

The next time you run: BACKUP STGPOOL primarypool copypool

TSM figures out all the files that DON"T have a copy in the copy pool (which
will include any newly backed up files AND the files that were deleted from
the damaged copy pool tape) and copy them all to the copy pool.

Subject: restoration of backup copypool volumes?

I noticed that the "restore volume" command will allow you to rebuild a
primary volume from it's backup storagepool volumes. Is there a way to
recreate backup storage pool volumes from primary volumes?.
