Yes, but in theory, you could have files that are 30 years old.  Or for that matter, 
300, or 3000 or nnnnnn years old.  e.g. if the user creates a file on the first of the 
month, and updates on the
first of every month, on month 31, you'll have copies that are 30 months old.  User 
doesn't want that.

That way you guarantee anything he backs up, be it via scheduled backup or
adhoc backup, will always be retained for 30 days..
