In addition to David's note...
All TDPs are not created equal. Therefore you should
refer to the User's Guide for each TDP.  The User's Guides
each have a section about configuring TSM policy settings.

For SQL and Exchange versions 2.2, what you have done,
is one possible way to do it. In fact, it works very nice
because no matter how many backups you take, it will
always keep 2 months worth of restorable data.

For Oracle, David is correct, you will want
VERDELETED=0 and RETONLY=0.
