Hi Chris! Like I mentioned earlier: Cross platform backup/restore is not
supported.
It's not very likely that TSM will allow you to restore NTFS data to EXT2
filespaces, nor the other way around. Even if both clients are using a FAT
filesystem, it will probably not works, simply because TSM is not build for
this kind of functionality.

Looking on the server admin console indicates that the filespace is not
unicode:
Is Filespace Unicode? NO

Do you know of anything else that could cause this problem?
