We use Control-M, but Tivoli's tool works too. Basically, it is just like any other .bat or .sh or .pl file executing a dsmadmc command.
Typically, what I do is put the dsmadmc command in a file and call it using. dsmadmc -id=xxx -pa=xxx macro /the_file_to_execute or dsmadmc -id=xxx -pa=xxx macro \the_file_to_execute I have an elaborate set of perl scripts that I have written that do some things for DR. -----Original Message----- From: Philippe Girard [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2002 9:54 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: TSM with 3rd party scheduler I do not know what platform you are working on, but with your scheduler if you can send command to TSM like: DSMCADMC -ID=xxx -PA=xxxx command you can control TSM from your scheduler. ----------------------------------- Philippe Girard Joseph Seigh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 26/02/2002 08:29 AM Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: Subject: TSM with 3rd party scheduler Does anyone know of a 3rd party scheduler that works well with TSM. Preferrably one that has a scripting or programming api, since our goal is to automate adminstration of TSM. If the scheduler has a client portion then it should have a small footprint install and admin wise, and adequate security. If the scheduler requires a scripting api to run TSM commands, we have one so it's not a problem. Joe Seigh
