Unfortunately what you are trying is not possible. You can not have one storagepool using two difference device classes. And since two robots can not be a member of the same deviceclass - you are at a dead-end.
This is the same with TSM. You need to configure the 2'nd 3995 as a separate storagepool. If you storagepools look something like this : DISK_POOL => 3995_POOL(old) You might consider doing a new setup like this : DISK_POOL => 3995_POOL(new) => 3995_pool(old) That way all new data will go into the new 3995 pool. Good luck :-) Regards, Jesper Matthiesen WISEhouse Denmark A/S -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]Pa vegne af Gary Luther Sendt: 11. januar 2002 23:58 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: 3995 Issue with ADSM We have an application Visual Info that utilizes a 3995-C64. We have filled it up. We want to add another 3995-C64 into the same storage pool so that both of the 3995's appear as on larger virtual device. I can't figure out how to pull this off with ADSM. Wonder if the secret is to move to TSM. Can anyone give me a clue on this one?
