I have a strange TSM issue concerning passwordaccess. First, the levels. TSM server is on AIX running 4.3.2. The TSM server version is 4.1.4.0. Client is on AIX running 4.3.3, the client version 4.2.1.0.
I have 5 machines, all configured as above. 4 of the machines behave correctly with respect to passwordaccess. The 5th machine is the problem. If I enter dsmc, it prompts for the password every time. The password is being stored in /etc/security/adsm/TSM.PWD. If I add nodename node5 to the dsm.sys file for node5, it still behaves the same way prompting for password every time. If I add nodename node4 to the dsm.sys file of node5 and enter dsmc with the node4 password, then subsequent entries to dsmc do not prompt for password. If I go to node4 and enter node5 in the dsm.sys file and enter dsmc, it will prompt for node5 password, and then subsequent entries to dsmc do not prompt. Anyone have any thoughts?
