If you are running the SAN with firmware version 04.01.02.13 is works with
AIX hosts. The version of the SAN firmware is capable of defining a host
type of AIX

Which RS6K box did you install it on? Your list only shows Intel boxes.
According to IBM it is not supported on RS6K.

The FAStT500 absolutely does support the RS6K.

Last week I installed a FAStT500 in a SAN environment for one of my
clients. It was connected to a W2K box, a few NT servers and a NetWare
5.1 server. The TSM backup server is running on the W2K box.

RS/6000's do not support the FAStT Disk Storage.

Subject: IBM FAStT Disk Storage for TSM server

We currently have TSM Server 3.7.4.0 on RS6000 F50 with internal 4.5GB
SSA Disks and External IBM ESS. Looking to upgrade server. One of the
possibilities for TSM Server disk storage is IBM's new FAStT Disk
storage.
We want disk storage totally "local" to server.

Does anyone have this disk storage for TSM server or have an opinion on
it? We will be meeting with our Business Rep next week to look at
details.
Will probably upgrade TSM Server to 4.1 or 4.2 at about same time

Thanks,
