The fact that it's unsupported give due regard, I can state empirically
that the 2.1.x.x client does appear to work to a 4.1.0.0 server, at least
on the following platforms: SunOS 4.1.4, Windows 3.1, and a fairly old
version of SCO Open Server (not sure of exact rev).

Thanks for the feedback. I have passed it on to the user. If they decide
to try the old client, I will let everyone here know how it goes, just in
case someone else has to deal with a similar situation.

I have no idea whether the 2.1 client will work with a 4.1 or 4.2 server,
being that it is an unsupported, and therefore untested configuration. In
theory, it might work. Try it and see; but just remember, it is
unsupported.

Unfortunately, they won't budge. This is a VRU. When I asked about
upgrading the OS, they said they planned to go to 2.6, next spring.
Current research says the latest ADSM client that will work with SUN
Solaris 2.4 is ADSM V2.1.08 !!!!!!!!!!
But will it work with TSM server 4.1.4/4.2 ?
Anyone from Tivoli "listening" ? The COMPATIBILITY page on the Tivoli
site only goes back to the 3.7 client !!
