I know how to solve the problem.
If u have drive put back in to get ODM updated.
If not
U have to follow the following procedure.
#lqueryvg -p hdisk0 -At Read original VGDA Area when original disk was
present hdisk1 from hdisk0.
#lspv
dd if=/dev/hdisk0 count=1 |od -x |grep 0000200<<<<This is the offset
address.
0000200 0000..............0000 this is the ID for new disk attached.
#odmget -q "name=hdisk0" CuDv >>/tmp/hdiskX.add
#odmget -a "-name=hdisk0" CuAt >>/tmp/hdiskX.add
NoW UPDATE odm TO ORIGINAL VALUE disk ID THAT U GOT WITH lqueryvg
#odmchange use this cmd.
now
reducevg vgname hdiskx
rmdev hdiskx
Look at ODM cmds very closely. If u have problem in understanding ??Good
luck.
U need to read ODM and VGDA.

Subject: SSA disk configurations
I know this isn't exactly a TSM Question but...
Anyone have an idea where I can find documentation baout replaceing a
failed drive in a SSA disk configuration.
The documentation I've found tells you you need to logically remove the
data adn drive first, unfortunately we've phjysically removed the drive and
now the subsystem won't allow us to remove it logically.
Thanks in advance
Jim
