To make the web-based client GUI work, you need to read the
backup/recovery client guide for the appropriate platform of your
client. Remember that you need to have dsmcad running on the client;
the details of administering which depends upon the platform of the
client.
If it's running properly, all you have to from the local box is bring
up a web browser app, open
http://<nodename>:<designated TCP port>
An example would be http://localhost:1581 (if you want to open the GUI
on your own client). Once it's running, you choose the backup button.
A logon dialog box should appear; you then log onto the box you wish
run a backup upon.
