The problem is solved by reinstalling the license files of the base set.
(The original CD's were sent to us by postmail).

If you got your upgrade from the TSM web site then that is your problem.
For some strange reason (I know the reason... $$$) Tivoli seem to want to
charge all of us for a 4.1 to 4.2 upgrade. If you didn't purchase software
subscription with 4.1 then you will have to purchase version 4.2 from your
software vendor.
I think that Tivoli should have made this very clear on the web site.
Luckily I upgraded a test system first. To go back to 4.1.4 after upgrading
to 4.2 required me to reload the last DB backup I make prior to the
upgrade.

Hello,
I'm new to this newsgroup so I have some quick questions :
1) Where can I find an archive of all these messages ?
2)
I recently upgraded my TSM server from 4.1.3 to 4.2.0.
By doing this I lost all license information so my server is not
in compliance with license terms anymore.
The register license command doesn't seem to work (licenses don't get
registered) :
tsm: VCR-TSM1>reg lic file=1mgsyslan.lic number=18

I already did a audit license.
