Ok, I'm going to ask one of those questions that I'm sure there's a simple answer to, but I can't find it! Scsi jukeboxes use an element address to have the robot access a drive. The 3494 doesn't do this, but I can't figure out what it does do! When I define a drive in the 3494 to TSM, all I specify is the AIX device name (/dev/rmtx), which the 3494 has no knowledge of. How does tsm/3494 figure out which drive to mount a tape in? Thanks Rick
