Hello *SMers,
the problem has mysteriously disappeared. I have no explanation because i
did not change anything.

Betreff: SV: Backup Failure with USER ABORT
Hi Volker,
look at this:
* IC29845 Client terminates the backup if it tries to back up a drive it
*
* can not access (such as the Microsoft Exchange Installable
*
* File System).
I found it in the readme1st file of the TSM client version 4.1.2.17. Maybe
this is the error that makes the client to terminate the backup.
Otherwise should the error you described be fixed in version 4.1.2.12 (look
at the IC no. of the readme1st):
* IC29368 ERRONEOUS 'USER ABORT' ANS1074I OR ANS5011I
*
* DURING BACKUP.
I would try to update the TSM client with version 4.1.2.19 or 4.2 (I use
many 4.1.2.19 and a 4.2 on my machine and they are working very well!) and
run the backup again.
Many greetings
Thomas Anthon-Kiel

Emne: Backup Failure with USER ABORT
Hello *SMers,
a few days ago our daily incremental backup on one of our NT clients started
to abort. Only 1/5 of the data objects is backed up. The backup process
terminates somewhere in the middle with a user abort. This can only be seen
in the event log of the NT client. The event log entry is 4099
AdsmClientService, ANS1074I *** User Abort ***.
The actlog on the TSM server shows a corresponding ANR2579E schedule failed
with return code 4.
Enironment Info:
TSM Server 4.1.2.1 on NT4, SP5
TSM Client 4.1.2.12 on NT4, SP5
Any ideas ?
With kindest regards
Volker
