Dietmar - The degree of "destroyed" may mitigate your effort.
          A leader block snapped off a 3590, for example, can be
reattached and the tape saved.  (I've done a couple.)  If the
tape simply has "bad spots", by all means consider doing a Move Data
to get most of the data from that single tape and greatly reduce the
need for additional tape mounts.

>From the large number of tapes over which the copy pool data is spread,
I surmise that the primary tape was written over a considerable period
of time.  This can be an insidious ramification of using collocation
to otherwise speed restorals from the primary tape itself.
