*SM upgrade documentation/test plan?

Does anybody have any sort of documentation or test plans for upgrading
from *SM server 3.1 to 3.7.1 or 4.1.2 on AIX v 4.3.2 (or really any
OS)?  Any advice/help/information would be much appreciated.  I'm a
newbie and need to document testing and procedures for upgrading from
*SM server 3.1 to 3.7.1 and then to 4.1.2 on an AIX machine.  Test plans
for any OS would be helpful!  Thanks in advance.
