Hi Zoltan. Are you sure that the instance owner can do SSH to authenticate during upgrade?

RHEL 7.9 servers. We are trying to upgrade our V7.1.7.500 to V8.1.12 and can not get past the installation process step where it asks for the instance password. "The password for this instance is not recognized"...... We made sure selinux=disabled and reset the password (passwd) numerous times... to no avail. Our S-O-P on Linux VM servers is to install a package that forces login/authentication to Active Directory. I am wondering if the installation package can't understand/handle this? Has anyone else implemented AD authentication on a Linux server running a Spectrum Protect server? Or is this not the cause of the password problem?
