We had similar problems when we first started replication to an offsite server. The Oracle backups would get confused with the extra stanza's replication put in the dsm.opt/sys files so we had to stop replicating Oracle DB backup nodes. Since the Oracle folks run their own schedules via CRON, that would also cause problems if replication was running when they tried running TDP backups.
