I am sure glad you and others are working out the "challenges" with sessionsecurity/TLS/SSL. We are still stuck at 7.1.7.x until we complete get off the client web interface (deprecated with 7.1.8/8.1.2) and don't look forward to these "challenges" once we upgrade all of our servers.
