Hi Eric, The default management class is used if it has a backup copy group.
If the default management class does not have a backup copy group, then the domain's backup retention (grace period) is used. Similar story for archive copies: If the default management class has an archive copy group, then the default management class is used. Otherwise the domain's archive retention (grace period) is used.
