Here's what I did: Server OS: Windows 2012 R2 1. Update client to 8.1.4 on the SP server machine itself (I back up some network shares that are mounted on the SP server for backup purposes 2. Update server to 8.1.5 After the server update to 8.1.5, the SP database backup process fails. I get an RC=30 in the db2diag and a ANR4588E in the actlog. So I'm pretty stuck, and support hasn't been much help over the past four days. I'm starting to get antsy that these SP servers haven't had DB backups and I'm going to have to start deleting archive logs to keep them running, which doesn't make me happy. I've tried uninstalling the client, following the technote as closely as I could, and using the dsmcutil.exe provided with the client to try and reset the DB backup node, but nothing has worked so far to correct this issue.
