If by 'accumulator' you mean that the NUM_FILES column is actually showing the sum of the current row and the previous row/rows then I don't think this is the case. It looks to me like there is an implicit ORDER BY NUM_FILES on the select statement. Presumably the NUM_FILES column is some sort of primary or clustered index on the OCCUPANCY table? If you pick a random row from the output, does Q OCC <nodename> <filespacename> match? If so I think you can assume both the SELECT and Q OCC outputs are accurate.
