dOES THIS INFO HELP

Error Description:
During UPGRADEDB while installing the lvl2.0 of the MVS-server
cust got error msg's:
anr0101e idgroup(283) : error 11 opening table "interface.tasks"
anr9999d httree(1891): error querying id group members.
This did not came up while following 'normal' starts of the
server ANRIDL had been run previously when the server was

migrated and was not rerun at this time.

Customer is uncertain to work with this database.
ADSM docs do not contain information about actions required for
this problem.

Local Fix:
Run ANRIDL after UPGRADEDB to avoid the problem.

Problem Summary:
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED:                                              *
All ADSM Server are effected.
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *

When starting the ADSM server in the upgrade DB mode a couple
of ANR9999 messages stating that the interface.task table
could not be opened followed by a message stating a error occure

while quering a group. Yes, there is a problem, but the problem
does not indicate a database failure. The problem is that the
task table for the ADSM interface was not created but the server
is in the process of creating the table. Better known as the
chicken and egg problem.

****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
Install PTF when available.
****************************************************************
The problem of looking for a table as it is being created has
been fixed. This code fix will turn off the support while the
server is upgrading the database or processing a dsmserv runfile
command. A new message was also added to inform the customer
about the ADSM IDL defs not being installed. On some platforms
the install package does not issue the command to install the
defs.

Rene - Dwight's observation about your disk subsystem "losing data"
       sounds like it is the basis for your problem, regardless of
brand. You indicated that you successfully performed a database
restoral, and yet the ANR0981E message says the the server is detecting
the database as incomplete - which is contradictory. It's like you
in effect have "write-only" disk, where it happily takes data but is
not actually storing it or returning it in Read operations.

Get your operating system and hardware people involved, and have them
look for error log indications of problems. They can use utilities
or diagnostics to verify the voracity of the disk subsystem. Switch to
a different type of disk if possible, if nothing else turns up, and try
the restoral to that.
