Arturo,

What release of Domino Server are you running?

If you are running Notes/Domino Server version 4,
you can use TDP for Lotus Notes which backs up
at the document level.

If you are running Notes/Domino Server version 5,
you can use TDP for Lotus Domino which backs up
at the "file or database" level. Using TDP for
Domino you are backing up each individual's mailbox
as a separate TSM object. And so each user's mailbox
can be restored to the same (or different) server
over the top of the old mailbox OR as a different
database name if you would like.

See the Tivoli web page for more details.

Thanks,

Del

Subject: TDP for Exchange or Lotus Notes

Hello,

Has anyone used the ADSM Connect Agent for Lotus Notes. I have used TDP
for Exchange in the past and familiar with the backup and restore process.
Does TDP for Lotus Notes work in the same manner. ie must restore the db
to alt exchange server and have the Exchange Administrator extract the
mailbox they want restored.

Thx

Arturo Lopez
