I have faced this problem here in my shop , and myself and level 2 support from
Tivoli  resolved this problem using
odmdelete command and you are saying not true .
  further ODMDELETE also needs specific combination ,otherwise it won`t
work.
here are the command which i used for mtx , and rmtx ..

medrs2:id
uid=0(root) gid=0(system) groups=2(bin),3(sys),7(security),8(cron),10(audit)
medrs2:odmdelete -o CuDv -q name=mt0
0518-307 odmdelete: 1 objects deleted.
medrs2:set -o vi
medrs2:odmdelete -o CuDv -q name=mt1
0518-307 odmdelete: 1 objects deleted.

Not true. I've upgraded from 2.x to 3.x, 3.1.x to 3.7.x, and 3.x to
4.1.x, and I've never seen an instance where 'rmdev -dl rmtX doesn't
work.

Trim your reply tree, Shekhar. It's much too long.
