Marc, see my previous append - you CAN restore an individual file using the
CLI (NOT the GUI nor the Web Client). You are correct in that you can
generate a backupset and specify the filespace(s) you want to have included
in the backup set.

>From my understanding, no. A backupset is a flat file (.ost). It will be
restored in it's entirety. However I do believe that you can define what
filespace the Backupset originally backs up. In other words, you can
backup only what you want to. Hope this helps.
