You know, after reading my posting I found the solution.
The device type of the drive is GENERICTAPE (generic AIX type),
but the device class I have created is DLT.
Defining a GENERICTAPE devclass then re-defining the drive with
the new devclass fixed the problem.
Next time I will send an email to myself first to see if I can
solve it ;)
