Hello all,
I will be upgrading a 3.7.0.0 server to 3.7.4.0 shortly, on an AIX 4.3.3
server. This is mainly to add support for a 3583 LTO drive we'll be
adding soon, and also for other obvious reasons. I've already updated
the Atape driver to the latest level.
Are there any special procedures i should be aware of? Is it safe to
simply apply the updates in SMIT (without committing, yet) as the install
doc seems to say. Is a dsmserv updatedb command necessary?? One more...
are there any other caveats to look out for?? Thanks a lot for any info!
