Directory Tree

I am sure this has been covered before, but I can't seem to find it in the
archives.

We want to save just the directory tree of a file system to a different
copypool.
My question is how can I do this? We do not want the files in the same area.
The idea is to save tape mounts on a system recovery and we may not want
to restore any files. This scenario would actually be used if we wanted to
start
a system from scratch and have no actual data in the directories.
