I have client also using TDP for Domino, The best rate that I can have on
XL tape of 3570 tapes is 1 to 1.3 compression rate. however, the same
client also has ORACLE database, the data of Oracle can have 1 to 4
ocmpression rate. It is not how the compression does, It is the nature
of data. The data of Notes DB cannot be compressed. (There is no white
space or repeating patterns that compression can take advantage of,
therefore, it does not show very good result)

Subject: Compression with TDP for Domino
Hi,
We are using TDP for Domino. We try to set Compression On.
How can we know th compression is really on? Since we turn compression on,
nothing changed. There are no information about the compression rate, and
the volume transferred is quite the same?
Afer having changed the compression value, we stop and restart the
scheduler.
How can we know the compression is effective?
Thanks for your help.
