My to cents on this subject are that the course in Southbank was not much to
write home about. I did the course in April/May last year and did not find
it to be very good (it was based around ADSM 3.1). The course was two vague
and did not cover the interaction of tape libraries at all, or the usage of
the web admin, which I use all the time now. I was not the only one that
found this as one of my colleges went on the same course about 8/9 months
later and said pretty much the same thing, the only thing the course did,
was to give me a vague overview, as I had never seen the system before. I
would give the course about a 4.5 out of 10. Hopefully now though, with TSM
being around, the course has been update, and would be more relevant.

Hi Toni,
Well its been a few years since I had my ADSM training, but one of my
colleagues
took an
ADSM version 3.1 implementation course with IBM Southbank in 1999 and his
verdict was
that it was reasonably useful, if heavily biased on the client side, and he
would give it 7 out of 10.
We actually wanted the course to be more biased to the host server set up.
So I think the lesson here is to find out as much detail about the course as
you
can to make sure that it meets your particular requirements.
