Well, yes and no, depending on how much pain you are willing to put up with.
If you are looking to be able to directly MOVE the data for these filesystems,
the answer is NO! That funtionality doesn't exist in TSM, but has been
requested several times. The only way I got done what you're looking to do was
to turn on collocation in the old pool, wait for (or help) tapes to split out
data, and then do move data commands. Another method would be to selective
backup the files again. Finding out what those files are can be done but it is
time consuming.
MAJOR PAIN IN THE BUTT!
Yes I shouted, still don't think IBM/Tivoli heard though. "Can't see the forest
for the trees" applies here. Sigh.

| Subject: Move client data to another stgpool |
>----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
TSM 4.1.1
I have 2 stgpools in a 3494 library, one collocated and one noncollocated.
I have a client that has about 10 percent of its backed up data in the
noncollocated pool, the rest is in collocated where it should be. I think
the data in noncollocated is remaining from original backups before I made
the client collocated. Is it possible to just move this client's data out
of the noncollocated pool and put it into the collocated pool where it
should be? It is the same filespace that is split between the pools.
I have other clients data in the collocated and noncollocated pools that
I'd rather not mess with.
It's not critical to move the data, but I would like to if possible just to
keep things cleaned up and my data totals accurate.
Thanks,
