Make sure that you have drives available AND that there aren't
requests or processes that would take all of the drives while you are
running your label libv.
I have a 3494, TSM on AIX 3.7.3.8 and I've taken some AIX 6D error
messages and library sequence checks within the actlog when the requests for
mounts 'interfere' with the label libv process. I'm thinking that my doc
sent to ibm/tivoli will turn into an apar (for that particular condition).
Your situation may be the same, or not, but you have something to look
for....
        FYI
        Thanks Tim

Subject: STK Library, ADSM 3.1.2.50, and Label Libvol

One of my clients has ADSM 3.1.2.50, a STK library with 9840 drives,
on an
AIX box under 4.3.2. Under 3.1.2.40 all was well with labeling
tapes, but
now the label process fails without a meaningful error.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

P.S. - They will be upgrading to TSM 4.1 in a month or two.
