Hello Andy
This begs a couple of questions.
1) For platforms such as hp/ux 10.20 which is supported by HP but not
by TSM 3.7 or TSM 4.1 are the 3.1 clients going to be supported.
2) Do you guys know that there are a large number of system that
can not be upgraded since they do not support the latest os. Some
of these are buried in special equiptment. For example lab and test
devices. IBM still uses os/2 in a number of special boxes that it
supports such as mf consoles.
3) What about support for restores of data that is being saved for
7 or 10 years for legal or other reasons.
4) Have you guys thought about different levels of support. Such as no
new features, but for these older platforms but supporting
basic backup and restore problems? With a stable o/s, hardware, and
backup client these should be rare.
Thanks len
