The adsmpipe program was available at one time from ftp.almaden.ibm.com
It was written for adsm V2 and requires code changes for V3.1 (not sure
about later versions) also, some of the
query functions are broken at 3.1 and I don't have the time or skill to
work out the necessary changes, but as backup and restore
still work it's not that critical.
There was a rumour that adsmpipe would be supplied and supported with V4.
Can anyone confirm or deny whether this has come
to pass?

There is a program called 'adsmpipe' that will do this. IBM makes it
available
but does not provide product support for it. See redbook SG24-4335-03
("Using
ADSM to Back Up Databases") for details.
